Full Name:
Ariana Lacey Raleigh
Nickname:
Ari usually, that's was she introduces her self as anyways. Any other nicknames she generally responds too, and gives others out often!
Age:
Ari just recently turned 19 actually, a few days before the zombies came. Happy birthday...?
Gender:
Ari's a woman, and though she isn't DD or anything, she's still obviously one...unless you happen to be Helen Keller. Then you're just out of luck.
Height:
Poor little Ari stopped growing in about 9th grade, and now alternates between being 5'1" and 5'1 and 1/2" every year or so, alternately shrinking or growing half an inch.
Description:
Ari is anything but normal. In fact, when anything with the word normal touches her it combusts. At least, that's what Ari believes, but it has yet to have happened. But as far as Ari goes will start from the unique top and work our unique way down, eh?
Ari's hair used to be a dirty blond, darker in the winter and lighter in the summer. Almost normal, had it not been grown down to the back of her knees by her senior year. That same year she cut it short, so the straight almost spiky strands just dusted the tops of her shoulders and the nape of her neck with bangs sweeping over her right eye. After donating the massive amounts of hair however, Ari promptly dyed her new hair style a multitude of colors. Obviously her hair had grown out a bit since then, but Ari had always maintained keeping it the colors she loved.
Her face is heart shaped, with round rosy cheeks and a button nose that has stayed with her since birth. Her eyes, though surrounded by long thick lashes, were a warm chocolate, and probably the most generic part of her. But she still loved them, though they could be milk or dark chocolate depending on the lighting.
Ari was the dictionary definition of petite, with her small height, hands, feet, and well, everything. Though she is small, Ari prides herself on her physical strength and endurance. She enjoys labor and enjoyed running, until it changed from a fun athletic thing to survival method. But whatever!
Outfit:
Ari had dressed as she did everyday when she had finally left her 'safe' house, a rainbow spiral t-shirt that ended loosely over the top of her plaid purple short shorts, covering the rainbow studded belt around her waist. Horizontally striped rainbow socks ending just above her knees, providing just enough space for Ari to make her own two duct tape pistol holsters on each thigh. She had donned her favorite running shoes for obvious purposes, rainbow high top Adidas was little wings on the outside side of each shoe.
Rainbow candy (that is, beaded bracelets), hand woven, hemp, rubber, and all other variations of bracelets decorating almost her entire forearms. Seven beaded necklaces of increasing length decorated her neck, obviously in rainbow order like the seven hoops in her right ear's cartilage. Her earlobes were decorated with literal rainbows arching to end in smiley clouds. Topped off with a rainbow sweat band to hold her hair in check for the majority of activities Ari was decked out as she always was.
And despite the lack of functionality or disguise Ari needed the security of reminding herself that Ari was still the Ari and of her seemingly past life of smiles and sunshine with all of the chaos.
Equipment:
Two pistols rest in easy access in each duct tape holster, though they aren't the same. One is a new, government issued pistol, sleek and black and stolen from her father's belt. The other, a restored pearl handle, functioning the same as the other though it was silver, and hold fashioned, with a pearl pink handle of course. But then again, what about Ari screamed coordination?
Ari, as much as she seemed the draw and enjoy attention and being in the middle of everything, when it comes to zombie slaying she prefers to pick 'em off before anyone is put in danger. With the help of her hello kitty sniper of course. Plus the but of the gun is heavier and much more successful than the pistols when whacking zombie faces in.
Ari, to go with her weapons, has a pack, literally duct taped to her back to make running around easier. The pack itself was kind of beaten up, but in now heavily reinforced with purple and red duct tape. Inside the pack Ari had stuffed an water bottle, some granola bars, a roll of hot pink duct tape, medical stuffs, and a dagger. All very handy to her and at her disposal.
History:
Ari had been in the main house when the zombies had first come, home alone. Ari had already felt being home alone was freaky enough, and had locked and closed every door, turning off every light except the screen of her laptop as she huddled in the corner of her room, hidden by her bed and multiple blankets, the curtain drawn over the window, keeping out the moonlight.
Ari had been chatting away aimlessly, waiting for her parents to come home before feeling comfortable with going to sleep. Suddenly her friend across the street IM'd her, and she lazily pulled up the little box. And a frown creased the space between her eyebrows.
haleybby: look out ur window
Ari peeked out of the corner, expecting to see Haley waving from her window or something, but instead stared openly at the street. Someone...something staggered across the street, slowly and sporadically, looking injured.
aridear: who is it?
haleybby: idk but he looks hurt. should i go see if hes ok?
aridear: no.
haleybby: why not?
aridear: i don't like this.
haleybby: ur paranoid. wat if hes really in danger
aridear: and what if you put yourself in danger by going out there?
haleybby: just watch out 4 me, im going to go see
aridear: Haley dont!!
haleybby has become idle
Ari, mildly frantic now, watched attentively out her window, careful not to be seen but to be able to see. She watched on as Haley had stepped quietly out of her house into the night, walked up to the person calling out. The person turned slowly and Haley stopped. Ari's stomach sunk to her foot and she wanted to call out but found she couldn't make a noise.
So on she watched as the man suddenly started running, arms flailing behind him with an unearthly sound. Haley's scream pierced the night as he jump at her wrapping his arms around her as she struggled before she stopped suddenly. Ari felt tears rolling down her cheeks as her friend fell to the pavement as that thing ambled on. She almost got up to go out to get Haley, when she saw more. Tons upon tons. They came in with that awkward dragging step, and she watched as other people became victims and the people she had been chatting on the Internet with began to freak out and disappear well into the next night. Her parents never got home.
Ari had sat in that same spot, frozen, for 12 hours. Glancing back out the window, to remind herself it was real, she saw Haley's body was gone. Later she had spotted the girl ambling with the rest of the masses, 'The infected' the news had called them. Ari had watched everything she could on the Internet on headphones. She heard the radio broadcast to go to the police station. And she'd finally decided to take action.
After finding the two pistols and making holsters and grabbing her pack she made her way silently to the back door. There were four, maybe five infected in her backyard. Easy. She stepped out and killed all five before they could let out a sound to alert the others, and quickly locked herself in the shed before any could react to the gun shots.
Well, it wasn't really a shed. More of a shed-looking safe house. Her father, ex military man and sheriff of this city, was as paranoid as she was. Ari got many traits from her father. And thanks to his paranoia Ari could effectively fire weapons, was physically fit, and had access to food and water and more weapons and safety. All in what looked like a little old shed.
Ari had holed up in this shed for a few more days, till she grew tired of waiting. She remembered the broadcast. Her father had often taken her to work when she was too young to stay home alone, she knew the way easily. She would go and either reach safety and humanity (Goodness how she missed people that didn't want to eat her face off) or die trying. And hopefully take out a few infected with her. So Ari sniped out a few more that had wandered into her backyard to replace the others, and stepped out of safety.
What kind of zombie they would most likely be: As far as personality goes, since you don't see many rainbow witches boo-hooing around, Ari would probably be a hunter. A terribly one, but a hunter none the less. She has the duct tape, but it's bright pink. She's good a singling out and hunting down someone, but would giggle the entire or be spotted in her rainbow attire.
Other:
Umm...She's a total bad ass? Not most of the time, and she wouldn't ever look like one, but she can be, especially when the pressure on and you're dealing with a tank or five and the horde comes flailing around the corner.
She's also an incredibly touchy-feely person, probably even more so when her nerves are shot. She likes to cling or get piggy back rides, and often pops peoples personal bubbles simply because she lacks one.
