Sebastian Gray
Full Name: Sebastian Isaac Gray
Nickname: He prefers to be called Sebastian, though he’ll tolerate Seb
Age: Twenty five – almost twenty six
Gender: Male
Height: An even 6’0”
Description:
e y e s ; Sebastian has warm, olive green eyes. He must have inherited them from his grandparents, because his parents and brother all have brown eyes. He does have a few specks of amber in the iris, though green is definitely the dominant color. They’re slightly puffy and bloodshot since he hasn’t had much sleep since the infected took over.
f a c e ; The face on this boy is like reading a book. Every emotion he feels is expressed here. His forehead crinkles when he’s thinking, his thick eyebrows raise when he’s amused, his jaw tightens when he’s uncomfortable, his eyes twinkle when he’s up to something, and his smile goes crooked when he knows he’s right. He’s horrible at hiding his emotions, though most of the time he looks quite smug.
He has a tight upper lip, though his bottom lip makes up for it. He has slightly prominent cheekbones and a slight hint of dimples from time to time, mostly when the smile is heartfelt. Usually, he keeps his face shaved and smooth, though there hasn’t been much time to shave, so he’s a little scruffy and rough looking.
h a i r ; Sebastian’s hair is a dark brown, almost black looking shade. It’s usually pushed back with gel and out of his way, though with all the running, hiding, near-death experiences and everything, it’s been falling all over the place. It’s pretty short though, so no matter how disheveled it is, it only reaches just above his eyes. Though it has been awhile since his last haircut – too bad there’s no time to get one now.
b o d y ; When looking at him, Sebastian doesn’t look like much. Beneath the clothes, though, he has a pretty fit body. When he was ‘doing time’, he started working out, and has been keeping it up since. His arms are muscley and his chest and stomach are toned. He has the athletic build, though nothing too unpleasant. He has a tattoo of the words ‘Carpe Diem’ down his side from his time in prison. Other than that, he’s pretty normal. Besides his face, arms, and legs, the rest of his body is hair-free.
Outfit:
Sebastian still has on the same clothes he wore when the infected first attacked. A long sleeved shirt that alternates with dark green and light green stripes. He has dark blue jeans that were new and clean on the day when the ‘apocolypse’ began, yet now they’re messy and torn. They’re a bit big on him around the waist, and unfortunately he had no time to change into a better fitting pair, or put on a belt. He finds it a little difficult to run with them and plans on ditching them at some point for a tighter, more comfortable pair. He has some old sneakers on that aren’t exactly a brilliant shade of white anymore.
Equipment:
During his time in prison, he realized it would be not only safe, but smart to have a gun in the house. He doesn’t have much ammo left, so he’s trying to save as much as he can until he really needs it, like when he runs into a special infected. Cooking was one of his secret talents, so he had a bunch of cooking knives, big and small. He didn’t exactly have a bag of his own, so he took one from his neighbor Lucinda, and it’s slightly girly, but it does the job. He has a bunch of energy drinks packed in there, along with one first aid kit, some pain pills, and his collection of knives. He has a flashlight and some batteries, just in case.
History:
Sebastian was born as the second, and youngest son of the Gray family. He was one of those babies who made a mess with everything, always with a smile on his face. He learned early that waving and blowing kisses to the ladies gets their attention, and high fives with the guys makes people laugh. He also learned early that being the second born leaves you to always be compared to your older brother, which is not always a good thing.
You see, Sebastian’s older brother Nathaniel was the “perfect” son. He made straight A’s, followed all the rules, and never got into any trouble. Every parent, teacher, and even random passerbys commented on what a good boy Nathaniel was and how they wished they had a son like him. Unfortunately, Sebastian was not the greatest at school, nor did he have the best manners, or any of that. Getting tired of always being the “second best”, Seb felt it was time to stand out in his own way.
Since Nathaniel was such a goody-goody, Sebastian went for the exact opposite – the ‘bad boy’. He acted out in school, snuck out at night to go to parties, and didn’t care what other people thought of him. He got into his fair share of trouble and was constantly grounded, though that didn’t keep him from doing what he wanted. His parents were ashamed, but he didn’t care. He was having fun and getting attention without trying to be like his brother. Besides, lots of girls found his ‘bad boy’ qualities attractive.
Even though many people thought he wouldn’t graduate highschool, he proved them all wrong. His grades weren’t the best, he had failed a grade, but he ended up graduating in the end. Surprised and slightly proud, his brother came home to congratulate him graduation day. They had never been the closest, though Sebastian still looked up to his brother. They went out that night and had a few drinks, catching up on old times and Nathaniel trying to convince Seb to get into college. Despite their differences, Sebastian really listened to his brother that night, even planned on turning his life around. Unfortunately he didn’t really get the chance to.
That night there was an accident (yes I use car crashes a lot, sue me >.>). Both brothers had survived, though the two girls in the other car had not been so lucky. Sebastian knew that since Nathaniel had been driving under the influence he would end up in jail. Nate’s wife was due with a baby girl within the next month, and Seb knew this would not only ruin his brother’s life, but his whole family’s too. So he did the only thing he could, after all the years of being the bad guy – he took the blame.
Sebastian was sentenced for five years in prison for manslaughter at the age of 19. Nobody even suspected Nathaniel, being that Seb was “destined to go to jail” anyway. He never told anyone the truth, the only other person who knew being Nathaniel, who often came and visited. The first year was the worst, but after that things weren’t so bad. Unlike highschool, he didn’t act out as much, so he got a little more leeway then most. Prison was actually where he toughened his bad boy image up, working out often and even getting a prison tattoo. His five years was even cut short by a few months thanks to his good behavior.
When he got out, he moved away from it all to start over. Sure, he still had his bad boy ways, but what his brother had told him five years ago, he wanted to try now. He got his own apartment, a job, and even started applying for colleges. Better late than never, right? Of course, it was a little harder now that he had five years of jail under his belt. When he finally did get the acceptance letter, though, what else happened but an entire zombie apocolypse? Ah, how he remembered the day so well.
---
“Why, heeellooo Lucy,~”Sebastian called to his neighbor in his husky voice, waving a ‘hello’ with the mail in his hand.
“It’s Lucinda,” the raven haired girl muttered back, as she did for the past year every time he addressed her. She rolled her eyes as she fiddled with all of her shopping bags, trying to get to her keys.
“You really should consider the nickname sometime,” he mused as she dropped her keys with a grunt. He slinked over, picking up the keys and opening her door for her with a crooked smile. He knew she couldn’t stand him, though he also knew he drove her crazy in more ways than that.
“Yeah, right.” She blushed lightly as he placed her keys back in her designer purse and held the door open for her. “Thanks.” She then shook her head with a low growl, pushing past him roughly.
“Accepting my invitation for dinner anytime soon, Luce?” And afer that, the door shut in his face. He chuckled a bit, heading for his door right across from hers. After a year of bothering her you’d think she’d give in. Unlocking the door, he stepped inside and flipped through the mail. Bill, trash, bill, bill, trash- and then, in all it’s glory, the letter he had been waiting for. He ripped it open in a flash, scanned, and saw that it was good news. He had finally been accepted to a college! A community one, nothing special, but he had made it! “WAHOO!” he shouted as he put some music on and did a little celebration dance.
A while later he heard some banging on his door, thinking Lucinda was probably coming over to tell him to shut up. When he opened the door though, instead of getting a lecture, the girl reached towards him and tried to rip his face off. He backed up, the girl not seeming to stop. “Lucy? What the he-“ She screeched in his face, still attempting to slash at him. Realizing she was not going to stop, he hurried towards the fire exit and hopped out, the girl struggling to follow after him. When he glanced down in the streets, he suddenly noticed it was not just Lucinda who was in this rabid state. Speaking of Lucy, the girl had finally made her way onto the fire escape. As soon as she started to charge towards him, he ducked, and the girl went over the fire escape and fell down towards the ground. Sebastian didn’t stay to watch. He rushed back inside, turning the television on and closing his door, soon finding out what was going on. He locked himself in his apartment for awhile, though knows now he won’t be safe in there forever.
What kind of zombie they would most likely be:
Being the badass that he is, Sebastian would no doubt be a Tank. He’d love to throw cars, parts of the pavement, and survivors around. It would also be fun to plow down walls and through everything in his way.
Other:
Sebastian is a bad boy. That’s all one can really say. By the way he talks, dresses, walks – well, more of a confident swagger – and does just about anything. He has a nice charm, though, too, so he can wiggle his way out of trouble. The ladies sometimes swoon over him, though others completely despise him – and sometimes both. He can come off as arrogant sometimes, and sometimes he really is. Despite how he acts, though, he really is a big softie. He has a big heart, and will make sacrifices for others. Still, he’s pretty unpredictable.
